Fall into Change

“Fall” into Change

It’s that time again where we say goodbye to that golden glow from the hot sun followed by long summer-nights. So sad. Time to hang up those swimsuit’s and cozy up in a sweater and a pair of socks! In other words… put away the lip balms and self-tanners in exchange, for some black eyeliner and red lipstick. Makeup is back!

It’s almost fall, which is the season for makeup and makeup that’s not so subtle. This is one reason why I adore fall. Bringing back full-on makeup looks that include: darkened eyeshadows (black, brown, grey, or metallics), black eyeliners (liquids, kohl, cream, or big,-chubby pencils), and red lipsticks (varying from bright crimson to deep purple). No contouring is needed with these accents going on! Blushes are to resemble a slightly flushed look, as if you were out in the cool, autumn air. If you’re someone who can’t resist sculpting your cheekbones, and I totally understand, replace your contour shade with a soft, natural, blush instead. Now don’t feel the need to wear these looks all at once; I suggest tailoring them to your our own comfort level and what suits your personal taste.

Makeup for fall and winter are anything but dull. Think about it… all those holiday parties and events to attend. You’ll want to look modern and in the “Now.”  Every year I look forward to the must-have products and trends coming off the runways of New York Fashion Week. Red pouts and soot-rimmed eyes consistently grace the fall line-ups year after year. These bold and sexy looks are here to stay and will continue to dominate the makeup trends for the fall/winter season’s.
